Our goal is to encourage a culture of collaboration, inclusiveness, and creative thinking trough arts based early education. Tessera leverages a curriculum of visual, musical, movement based and multi-sensory arts to incorporate a variety of educational subjects and environmental explorations. We are a secular community linking families from North Seattle, to a Edmonds, to Bothell.
Tessera Arts is a multifacted, arts driven, community based school offering a wide variety of programing to enrich and educate children of a vareity of ages. Since 1998 we have grown along with our community in Edmonds, Shoreline and North Seattle providing a safe, unhurried environment in which children can flourish as individuals while learning how to work collaboratively.
The heart and soul of Tessera Arts, our preschool program offers dramatic play, sensory activities, indoor and/or outdoor gross motor play, time for socializing and developing friendships. Take a closer look at our program at our preschool page, or schedule a visit to see how you and your child like our community.
We offer a wide variety of workshops and classes that cover scheduled outages in the Shoreline and Edmonds school district as well as some weekend days. Courses include ceramics, sculpture, visual arts as well as gift making and wrapping workshops leadning into most major holidays. For a listing of our current offerings check out our workshops and classes page. If you would like to review previous courses, scroll down through our blog posts for an exhaustive listing.
When the sun is shinning so are the smiles on our faces at Tessera, where every July (with August coming soon, by popular demand!) we fill our days with fun and art. Every week has a new theme, new projects and a huge collaborative art project for all the kids to participate in. For a complete listing of our summer sessions, check out our summer camp page.
